Berners-Lee, Tim-

Born a mere mortal in London, England, on 8 June 1955, Tim Berners-Lee, was destined for something big. Not much is known (to me) of this brilliant man's childhood, but he eventually ended up graduating from the prestigious Queen's College at Oxford University, England, 1976. This is where he built his first computer with nothing but a soldering iron, an old television, a bunch of what would be considered to day as old junk, and his bare hands. This would be far from his most fantastic feat, for in 1989, he was credited for the invention of the fastest growing web, man has ever seen to this day with his proposal of the creation of the World Wide Web. Berners-Lee is the director of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and is also the founder of the World Wide Web Foundation.
